| For God and Country,
we associate ourselves together for the following purposes:
- To
participate in parades and other ceremonies which are in
keeping with the aims and purposes of the American Legion;
- To promote motorcycle safety,
education programs and to provide a social atmosphere for
American Legion members with the same mtorcycle interests.
- As an authorized Program of
The American Legion The American Legion Riders will be an
asset in promoting and supporting all programs within the
American Legion.

- Support Veterans including
but not limited to California Veteran's Hospitals, and the
Veterans Transition Center.
- Provide a military presence
in our community by participating in parades and other community
events.
- Promote motorcycling as a
safe form of transportation and recreation.
- Award a College Scholarship
to a Young Patriot.
- Increase our American Legion
and American Legion Riders membership.
- Work toward the American Legion
Riders being a Nationally recognized American Legion program.

Preamble
to the Constitution of The American Legion |

FOR GOD AND COUNTRY WE ASSOCIATE OURSELVES
TOGETHER FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:
To uphold and defend the Constitution of the
United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster
and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism; to preserve
the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great
Wars; to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the
community, state and nation; to combat the autocracy of both
the classes and the masses; to make right the master of might;
to promote peace and goodwill on earth; to safeguard and transmit
to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy;
to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion
to mutual helpfulness.
